About Charitable Endeavors
Charitable Endeavors is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating awarness for Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects about 30,000 individuals worldwide. It is a fatal disease that currently has no cure. Due to the life expectancy of the disease, it is often regarded as a childhood disease. While the life expectancy continues to increase, due in part to better opportunities to manage the disease, the cure is still eluding our efforts. Daily treatment of CF is necessary for these individuals to carry on normal day to day activities. Cystic Fibrosis is genetic. The chance that a child will have CF is greatly increased when both parents carry this gene, sometimes unknown to them or their families. We encourage you to be tested as a carrier for Cystic Fibrosis at your next physical if you anticipating having children in the future. Knowledge is power.
